DPL 2025-26: Fixtures, Teams & National Stars Return After Eid Break

After the Eid-ul-Azha break, the Walton Smart Fridge Dhaka Premier League (DPL) is all set to come alive again. From Wednesday, 2 June, 12 clubs will return to the field with fresh energy to play the next round of matches in the league.

This round will be especially exciting as several Bangladesh national team players are set to feature. Ahead of the upcoming ODI series against Australia, they will take part in another round of DPL matches. Their presence will not only raise the competition level but also increase fan interest across the country.

In the last round before Eid, Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored a century for Abahani Limited. In this round, Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed are making their return to action. Both will play for Mohammedan Sporting Club.

This phase of the league will also serve as an important preparation platform for the national team players. After a long break, they will get the chance to regain match rhythm, sharpen their skills, and adjust to game situations. Selectors will also closely monitor their performances.

Clubs are equally eager to strengthen their positions. With title races heating up and relegation battles tightening, the competition is expected to become even more intense after the break.

A look at the points table shows Mohammedan Sporting Club at the top after seven matches with 12 points, dominating the standings. Defending champions Abahani Limited are in second place with 10 points from the same number of matches. Legends of Rupganj sit third, also with 10 points but behind on net run rate. Prime Bank Cricket Club are fourth, also on 10 points but separated by run rate.
